Jasmine interned at Beacon in 2013, started volunteering as an LLPC in 2014, and joined our staff as a supervisor in 2018. She graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2014 and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Jasmine works with a wide variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, marriage issues, suicidality, self-harm, PTSD, Bipolar, family systems issues, and spiritual warfare. She really enjoys the challenge of helping clients work through their various issues and seeing their growth and gains in confidence through a faith-based perspective.
As a supervisor, Jasmine loves the opportunity to pour into newly molded counselors and gives them a listening ear to ask questions, figure out problems, vent, and discuss strategies for solutions to a client’s situation. She strives to support interns and help them to build their confidence as they develop and grow into their skill sets.
Jasmine lives in Lansing with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, baking, getting outdoors, volunteering at her church, and visiting her family up North.
