Yes, in 2023 we had snow at the beginning of the day. But, the day ended with sun and puffy big clouds among a bright blue sky. Some of the early golf balls ended up looking like mini-snowmen, but they still found their way onto the greens. Rain, snow, sleet, sunshine… these golfer brave it all! Why? Because it’s the Beacon of Hope 18th Annual Golf Event and they are happily helping to raise money to provide counseling sessions to the hopeless and hurting. This is one of the ministry’s biggest fund-raisers and we hope you will participate with us! How? You can participate as a golfer or sponsor. The event is Tuesday, April 30, 2024. If you’d like to participate sign-up as a golfer right away. We need 25 dedicated men & women willing to raise funds (at least $1,000 each) and commit to playing (no matter the weather) on the beautiful course at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck. If you’d like to support a golfer, you can give securely on our giving page. We also need prayer for the event. Pray for good weather, safety, a blessing on those who donate and support the event and for the funds that will be used to help someone in need of counseling. Last year we had 13 golfers who raised more than $43,000! Amazing! Our goal this year is $50,000 and together we can HIT THE MARK! With Hole & Event Sponsors to underwrite the event, it allows all funds raised go 100% to the counseling sessions provided through Beacon of Hope.
